Soneium Integrates Hyperlane for Cross-Chain Interoperability

Soneium, an Ethereum (ETH) layer-2 blockchain founded by Sony Group Corporation and Startale, has integrated Hyperlane, an interoperability framework. This integration enables Soneium’s developers to build cross-chain dApps and token bridges that connect across 140+ chains. The move is instrumental for Soneium’s goal of empowering its developers with third-party tools that facilitate building and launching dApps. With Hyperlane’s cross-chain interoperability, developers on Soneium will be able to create more versatile and interconnected applications.

Deadfellaz Creators Launch Coldlink Tool for Asset Verification

DFZ Labs, creators of the Ethereum NFT project Deadfellaz, have unveiled Coldlink, a new beta tool that allows users to connect their blockchain address to any asset in Web2, Web3, or real life without incurring the security risk of blind signing or smart contract approvals. Coldlink enables digital asset ownership to be acknowledged and rewarded in real life without granting permissions to the wallet holding the asset. This tool aims to bridge the gap between online and offline assets securely.

$13m Stolen in GMX-Abracadabra Integration Breach

A recent hack of the GMX decentralized exchange’s integration with Abracadabra resulted in the theft of approximately $13 million. On March 25, blockchain security firm PeckShield reported that contracts related to Abracadabra (Spell) were compromised, leading to the loss of 6,260 Ethereum (ETH). GMX’s CORE contracts remained secure, and the issue was isolated to the GMX V2 integration with Abracadabra. The Abracadabra team is actively investigating the breach.
